The high ceilings
and large windows of my workshop are a reminder that it was built for
craftworkers in the 19th century, at a time when the
Clerkenwell area was a centre of craftworking. Now run by Craft Central, Cornwell House is filled by craftspeople of all kinds,
from glass engravers to jewellery designers.

I work using traditional methods
and hand-tools. Every step in the process of making an instrument, from
choosing the wood to the final set-up, I do myself. Around me, seasoning
wood and tools line the walls, leaving plenty of space for customers to
try instruments.
